While the ICC has raised an objection regarding MS Dhoni’s glove having the Indian army’s Balidaan badge, Bollywood stars like Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal and Rahul Dev have taken a stand for the Indian wicket-keeper, asking him to not let go of his glove with the badge
Other than ICC Cricket World Cup, another
thing which is currently trending is Mahendra Singh Dhoni's gloves that have
run into a controversy. Well, recently the former captain Dhoni was seen
wearing wicket-keeping gloves that displayed the 'Balidaan Badge', following
the International Cricket Council's (ICC) requested the Board of Control for
Cricket in India (BCCI) to get it removed. However, this didn't go down well
with the supporters of Dhoni and called the ICC decision as ‘shocking’ and
hoped that the BCCI takes a stand for the country.
While ICC raise an objection, on the hand, the cricketer Sreesanth the Bollywood actors including
Paresh Rawal, Riteish Deshmukh and Rahul Dev come out in open to support Dhoni
is full swing.

The Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh writes on his Twitter handle, saying,
"Indian Army has always been independent irrespective of the political
party in power. We are proud of them. Lt. Col. @msdhoni has worn
the Army insignia as a symbol of pride. Doesn’t hurt anyone’s sentiments,

Those who are unaware of what the badge stands for, the regimental dagger -
Army Insignia or 'Balidaan' badge- of the Indian Para Special Forces on his
wicket-keeping gloves is a badge or patch can be worn by personnel who served
in the Para Special Forces, and Dhoni had undergone a two-week initial training
with the para regiment.
